Sold new to Robert Beguet on October 1, 1965 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Purchased from Garage De L’Aviation. The car was used primarily as Mr. Beguets “Sunday” vehicle which is reflected in it low mileage and outstanding original condition.
It was purchased from Mr. Beguet’s estate in 2004 by Benno Grote, a German school master. Scott Grundfor purchased the Citroen from Mr. Grote in Arpil of 2005 when he saw the car for sale in Germany at the Essen Motor Show.
The car is in unrestored “original condition”. It runs and drives excellent. The engine and drive train remain in outstanding condition. Everything works as it should. Even the clock keeps near perfect time. Comes with service history and original documents. The interior is totally original and in mint condition. The exterior paint has been spot repainted in several areas. The rest of the exterior finish is original and excellent.
The rubber seals are original and still supple. I take it through a modern car wash with out leaks. Very quiet and tight when driven at freeway speeds. All mechanical systems including the hydraulic and brake systems work without fault. It is the nicest “original” vehicle I have ever owned.
